DATELINE AUGUST 2009: you may have read in the national press that, after over thirty years, BEANOS has finally closed. We have been experiencing very poor trade for several years. We did announce an imminent closure two years ago but public reaction encouraged us to reduce the size of the operation and we have been trading on just the ground floor since. Unfortunately, even that trade has now ceased and all our stock has been sold. So, BEANOS is only a memory but, we are building something that will be just as exciting, called “Market Place”, where we will have 50 small stalls and shops in our beautiful building.
